Project Brief
OVE, also known as the Eagles, is a Bedfordshire-based American football team with a rich history in the sport. Currently in their rebuild season, the Eagles aimed to enhance their social media presence, particularly to attract new players who may have only encountered American football through television or video games like Madden.
Project Scope: Social Media Management and Recruitment Campaigns
Having taken over their social media towards the end of the previous season, our initial focus was on showcasing scores, upcoming games, award ceremonies, and fundraising campaigns. We introduced templates for live updates during games, utilizing user-friendly platforms such as Canva and Adobe Spark to empower the ground team with readily accessible creative content.
Season 2023/24 Kick-off: Recruitment Planning and Rookie Day Sessions
Recruitment Planning:
For the commencement of the 2023/24 season, a substantial emphasis was placed on recruitment planning. This involved strategizing for two rookie day sessions to welcome and integrate new players into the club.
Social Campaigns:
To achieve recruitment goals, a dynamic social media campaign was executed. A combination of reminder posts, paid ads on Instagram and Facebook, and engaging content was deployed. This approach resulted in a remarkable influx of over 50 new faces to the club, surpassing previous recruitment numbers significantly.
Content Summary: Rookie Day Sessions
The rookie day sessions were meticulously documented through reels and photography. These visual elements not only captured the energy and enthusiasm of the sessions but also served as valuable content for ongoing social media engagement. All media assets were promptly provided to the client, contributing to their library of promotional material.
This project underscores our commitment to revitalizing Ouse Valley Eagles' social media presence and driving successful recruitment initiatives, aligning with the team's objectives during their rebuild season.
